The Pattern Recognition and Intelligent System Development Laboratory (PriSDL) was founded in 2006 and is affiliated with the School of Electric, Electrical and Communication Engineering, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It’s research work mainly engaged in machine learning, image and video understanding, pattern recognition and other related directions. The primary research contents include essential object detection, object tracking, action identification and understanding, and multi-source data fusion and perception. The research was funded by the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Youth Program, the Beijing Science and Technology Commission Project, and a number of funds from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The laboratory conducts extensive academic activities with world-famous universities and research institutions home and abroad, which include Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Maryland, OULU University of Finland, Duke University, Tsinghua University, the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academic exchanges. The laboratory currently co-advises students with the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Maryland, Brown University, Finland OULU University. The laboratory attaches great importance to the industrialization of the algorithm. Some of the proposed algorithms have been implemented on several independent systems and have been applied in certain units of the Nanjing Military Region, China Petrochemical and Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. The laboratory is dedicated to the cultivation of first-rate talents, and graduates work in universities and domestic and foreign famous enterprises and institutions.
We develop many sub-topics and conduct research on visual tasks such as object detection, scene understanding, weakly supervised learning, and person re-identification. We undertake practical projects using our academic advancement.
Recent WorksPriSDL supports you in realizing your dreams, both at work and in life.
The laboratory is equipped with multiple high-performance CPUs and GPU computing servers to provide support for efficient experiments and large-scale data processing.
The industrial eight-axle UAV mounted with an SLR camera provides the ability to collect high-definition aerial datasets on our own, and we can also explore a variety of aerial intelligent vision tasks.
Plenty of electric equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, robotic arms is all available, allowing us to perform system-level development with software and hardware.
The lab offers spacious workstations, high-profile desktops, multi-display work environments, kitchens, and discussion rooms that make our work easy and enjoyable.
The independently researched and developed SDL Standardization Academic Platform (SSAP) provides each member with several functions, for example, private cloud storage, online document collaboration, and virtualized management of experimental environments, which improving efficiency.
We regularly invite well-known experts and scholars in the field to carry out academic reports and discussion exchanges to help everyone grasp the frontier dynamics.
We actively support students to participate in high-quality international academic conferences, broaden their horizons and improve their standards.
The laboratory has an exchange-student program with overseas universities, such as the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Maryland, and OULU University in Finland. We regularly send students to these universities with funding.
